![]() ![]() These PDF's assume a RIP is used with your printer. Index, hard solid spot color or separations converted to halftones using UltraSeps can be output directly from Photoshop CS5+. The CS5+ issue only pertains to "halftone" separations. Some may prefer this workaround over printing from Illustrator or CorelDraw. Please note, color separations from CS5+ will print using earlier versions of Photoshop as they're backwards compatible. Some may prefer this workaround over the use of DCS 2.0 files or printing from Illustrator or CorelDraw. The PDF files below outline the correct procedure. Therefore, any separation using halftones must be output from an external application such as Illustrator, CorelDraw or a page layout program. Although our scripts do contain a command to reset Color Range to its default, some versions of Photoshop do not respond to it. If one of our Actions makes use of Color Range for only a single purpose with Color Range set to Invert, this can impact the entire separation resulting in solid or inverted channels. This occurs due to an Invert function of Photoshop's Color Range Tool not resetting properly.
